Software engineering is a young department at Faculty of Mathematics and informatics and Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" which is founded in 2007. Its main goal corresponds to the Bulgarian IT industry need of trained software specialist who will contribute the strengthening the competitiveness of the national economy. The teaching at FMI in software technologies is a step towards meeting the need of T-shaped people teaching declared of leading software companies within the framework of discussions on technology platform NESSI.
