Informed and Timely Decisions on e-Governence Big Data

Objectives

The goal of the current proposal is unstructured big data knowledge retrieval and decision support. To achieve these goals, the new innovative models and approaches will be developed in three directions:

  • Structuring and storage of unstructured big data from heterogeneous sources;
  • Analysis of public big data directed to discover dependencies and patterns corresponding to the requirements of stakeholders;
  • Visualization of open big data directed at effective adoption of information from the stakeholders.

Big Data 4 Vs

Volume

The main characteristic that makes data "big" is the sheer Volume.

Variety

More and more information is digitized in a non-structured manner.

Velocity

High frequency of incoming data that needs to be processed.

Value

Final product created, based on the analysis of the data and its importance to the end users.

The project ITDGate is funded by Scientific Research Fund of Bulgarian Ministry of Science and Education under agreement no. DN 02/11.
